On Monday (27 April 2026), NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska visited the United Kingdom to participate in the inauguration of NATO’s Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) Capital Network event in London, and to engage with students at Oxford University.

Ms. Shekerinska attended DIANA’s Capital Network inauguration, an event aimed at bringing together industries, experts and innovators to address the Alliance's objectives for defence investment and innovation. The Deputy Secretary General delivered a speech on the critical role of innovation in contemporary warfare, and its impact on battlefield outcomes.

Earlier, the Deputy Secretary General took part in a discussion with students and faculty at Oxford University’s Blavatnik School of Government. She outlined the priorities for the upcoming NATO Summit in Ankara, stressing the need for Allies to increase defence investment, accelerate defence production, and sustain support to Ukraine.
