Today, (17 June 2021) NATO Deputy Secretary Mircea Geoana, speaking at the 16th edition of the GLOBSEC 2021 event, outlined the decisions taken at this week’s NATO Summit to further boost resilience. The Deputy Secretary General said that at the Summit, 30 Allied leaders reconfirmed NATO as the prime platform for transatlantic dialogue and political convergence on everything related to security, including resilience.

Highlighting that strengthening the resilience of our societies is very much a collective effort, Mr. Geoana stressed that this is a prime example of an area where NATO and the EU, as natural and strategic partners, should work more closely together.

GLOBSEC 2021 Bratislava Forum, taking place between 15-17 June, brings together influential political representatives, business leaders, experts from leading global think-tanks and NGOs to search for a common vision in addressing key areas that need re-building after the pandemic.
