On March 30, press and public information officials from various ministries of the Government of Kazakhstan, directors of NGOs and journalists visited NATO Headquarters for a day of discussion on NATO Public Diplomacy issues.

Special focus was placed on the enhanced partnership between NATO and Kazakhstan within the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP), signed in January 2006.

This visit was one of the activities outlined in NATO and Kazakhstan's IPAP objectives.

The group met with various representatives of NATO member countries’ delegations and the Alliance’s International Staff to discuss different press and public information topics, the Individual Partnership Action Plan and the preparations for upcoming NATO Summit in Riga, Latvia, this November.

The group also visited NATO's Joint Force Component HQ in Brunssum, the Netherlands.
