A seminar on the new security challenges facing transportation was conducted on 28-30 October. It examined problems such as border crossings and civil preparedness against chemical, biological and radiological risks.

This was the biannual seminar organised with Partners by the NATO Planning Board for Inland Surface Transport (PBIST). It aims to bring NATO and Partner representatives to share information and discuss developments in the field of transport between representatives from the national transport ministries, military authorities and commercial transport industries in NATO and Partner countries.

The event was hosted by the Croatian Ministry of Interior and was held in the coastal town of Makarksa, Croatia.
