NATO is organising its annual submarine warfare exercise in the Ionian Sea from 17 February to 1 March. Exercise Dogfish 2000 aims to improve cooperation and co-ordination among multinational forces in anti-s ubmarine warfare operations. Eleven NATO countries are participating in the exercise using submarines, surface ships, maritime patrol aircraft and helicopters.
