The NATO Secretary General in Norway
The NATO Secretary General, Jens Stoltenberg, will travel to Norway to engage with the national authorities and civil society, and chair the Informal Meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs, which is taking place in Oslo on 31 May – 01 June 2023.
On Tuesday, 30 May 2023, the Secretary General will have an audience with King Harald V of Norway, at the Royal Palace in Oslo. There is no media opportunity.
Later that day, Mr. Stoltenberg will give a speech at an event co-organised by the Norwegian Atlantic Committee (DNAK) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway, at Gamle Logen, Oslo. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anniken Huitfeldt, will open the event, which will take place in Norwegian.
Also on Tuesday, the Secretary General will meet with the Prime Minister of Norway, Jonas Gahr Støre. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Defence will attend the meeting. The Secretary General and the Prime Minister will give a press conference together at the Office of the Prime Minister. The press conference will be in English.
On Wednesday and Thursday (31 May-01 June 2023), the NATO Secretary General will chair the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Oslo. More information about this event is available here.
