Good afternoon and welcome to all of you to this meeting of NATO Defence Ministers.
The June Summit opened a new chapter in transatlantic relations.
And set the course for the further adaptation of NATO.
Today we will take forward some of the key decisions from that meeting.
As we continue to strengthen our deterrence and defence ahead of the Madrid Summit next year.
To make sure we continue to have the right plans, capabilities and forces in place to protect our one billion people from any threat.
