Good morning.
Welcome to the last session of our ministerial meeting.
Today, we will discuss progress on NATO’s strengthened deterrence and defence.
Including our response to a more assertive Russia.
And to instability on our southern borders.
We will focus on ways to ensure we can move our forces rapidly across Europe -and between Europe and North America.
We will also discuss ways to further enhance NATO’s response to security challenges in the South.
And we will review the implementation of the adapted NATO Command Structure, which underpins our response to challenges from any direction.
We will also discuss with our close partners, Finland, Sweden and the EU how we can further increase our cooperation in areas such as cyber, countering hybrid threats, and military mobility.
And with that I thank the press for joining us for the opening of this session and we’ll continue with the meeting in just moment.
So thank you.
