Good morning.
I am looking forward to meet the European Council.
And of course NATO and the European Union – we are two different organizations but we have a lot in common.
Actually nine out of ten EU citizens live in NATO countries.
And we share the same values. And we share the same security environment.
And now this security environment is changing and therefore both NATO and the European Union have to adapt.
And NATO has taken decisive steps to strengthen its collective defence.
And I also welcome the efforts by the European Union to strengthen its defences.
A strong Europe makes also NATO strong.
And I look forward to discuss how we can increase the cooperation between NATO and the European Union.
