I commend the people and Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the smooth and peaceful conduct of the elections. I hope that the elected leaders will work to find common ground and pursue reform, which is essential to help the country move closer to Euro-Atlantic integration.

In particular, I look forward to early resolution of the issue of immovable defence property, which will clear the way for Bosnia and Herzegovina to activate their Membership Action Plan and prepare the country for NATO membership.
