NATO Secretary General congratulates David Cameron

I warmly congratulate David Cameron on becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. I look forward to working closely with him, as the Alliance takes forward our operation in Afghanistan and prepares a new Strategic Concept. I have no doubt of the UK's continuing strong engagement in, and commitment to NATO.
I would also like to thank Gordon Brown for our cooperation during his term in office.
