I want to express my shock at the two terrorist attacks that have killed and wounded a high number of people in Istanbul earlier today. These odious crimes near two synagogues are unacceptable acts of hatred and intolerance, which I strongly condemn as barbaric attacks against innocent people.
On behalf of NATO, I want to express my deepest sympathy and condolences to the Turkish people and the families of the victims. I also wish a full and quick recovery to the many wounded.
