On 16 April 1998, Zoran Zigic, who is subject to two indictments by the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia, was transferred from a detention centre in Banja Luka to the custody of ICTY investigators. He is now being transported to The Hague. The NATO-led Stabilization Force (SFOR) provided security and transportation for this transfer. I welcome the cooperation of Republika Srpska authorities in arranging the transfer.

SFOR, together with its predecessor IFOR, have now assisted in the transfer of 13 indictees to The Hague, nearly half of the indictees currently in ICTY custody.
