On Wednesday, 9 July 2025, the NATO Secretary General, Mr Mark Rutte, will visit Berlin, Germany, to attend the ceremony marking the 70th anniversary of Germany’s accession to NATO.

The Secretary General will meet the Federal Chancellor, Mr Friedrich Merz, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Mr Johann Wadephul, the President of the Bundestag, Ms Julia Klöckner, as well as parliamentarians from the Defence Committee.
