On 23 November 2025, NATO Deputy Secretary General Radmila Shekerinska visited the logistical hub in Poland of the NATO Security Assistance and Training for Ukraine (NSATU), meeting military leaders from NSATU and the Polish Armed Forces.

The Deputy Secretary General saw how NSATU continues to coordinate the steady flow of urgently needed military equipment into Ukraine, including some of the U.S. equipment provided under the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative. She thanked the leadership and personnel of the logistical hub for NSATU’s crucial work in providing Ukraine with the equipment it needs to defend itself, to hold the frontline, and to protect its civilian population and energy infrastructure. She commended Major General Dariusz Mendrala, Chief of the Inspectorate of the Polish Armed Forces Support, for Poland’s major involvement in the work of the logistical hub.

To ensure that it continues to carry out its activities safely, NATO provides air defences in Poland that safeguard the hub, including through Patriot Systems. The Deputy Secretary General thanked the German unit currently performing this important task, and expressed her appreciation that Dutch personnel will take over this vital function in the near future. NSATU’s logistical hub in Poland manages approximately 18,000 tons of material per month, for follow-on delivery to the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
