Over 1000 personnel and 50 aircraft from Italy, France, Greece, the United Kingdom and the United States trained together from 3 to 14 November within the framework of exercise “Falcon Strike 2025” in the Mediterranean Sea. They operated from the Italian Air Force base of Amendola, near Foggia, and across other Italian air bases, with approximately 460 sorties and more than 1,000 flight hours logged.

“Falcon Strike 2025” tested the operational readiness and effectiveness of air operations in highly complex scenarios for the protection and defence of our airspace. It featured the integrated use of air, maritime and land assets and capabilities, including fourth and fifth generation aircraft.  The Italian Navy and the British Royal Navy also participated.

“Falcon Strike 25” is another demonstration of the continuous efforts made by Allied personnel to strengthen their ability to work together and to ensure that NATO’s deterrence and defence posture remains credible and fit for purpose, against all threats and challenges.
