NATO Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană gave introductory remarks at the Meeting of the Council of Presidents of Business Europe in Brussels, Belgium on Thursday (23 November 2023). The event was organised by the Federation of Enterprises in Belgium.

During his address, Mr Geoană emphasised the importance of the partnership between NATO and industry, underlining that security is our shared responsibility. He also stressed that new technologies are becoming arenas for global competition and highlighted NATO’s adaption to technological transformation, including through the establishment of the new Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) and the NATO Innovation Fund.
