Конференція IISS «Діалог в Манамі»: НАТО встановлює контакти з південними сусідами

Із 17 до 19 листопада 2023 року голова Військового комітету НАТО адмірал Роб Бауер і помічник Генерального секретаря з політичних справ і політики безпеки посол Борис Руге взяли участь в «Діалозі в Манамі» IISS (Міжнародний інститут стратегічних досліджень) в Бахрейні. Головним сигналом НАТО на цій конференції було те, що вона хоче знайти шляхи поглиблення партнерства із південними сусідами. Адмірал Бауер висловив це під час панельної дискусії на тему «Стратегія і спроможність». На додаток, делегація НАТО мала низку двосторонніх зустрічей з представниками Бахрейну, Саудівської Аравії, Іраку, Франції і Німеччини.
