Chair of the Military Committee and SHAPE Deputy Chief of Staff Operations brief on integration of NATO and national military planning

In a briefing with journalists on Monday (3 July 2023) at NATO Headquarters in Brussels, the Chair of the NATO Military Committee, Admiral Rob Bauer, and the SHAPE Deputy Chief of Staff Operations, Major General Matthew Van Wagenen, presented an overview on the integration of NATO military planning and national military planning.
The briefers made clear that the Alliance started the planning process for collective defence several years ago, and that we have now reached a phase of unparalleled integration of NATO and national military planning.
