Deputy Secretary General Mircea Geoană reaffirmed NATO’s strong and unwavering commitment to peace and stability in the Western Balkans at the 2BS (To Be Secure) Forum today (Friday 7th October 2022).

Mr Geoană welcomed Montenegro’s contribution to Allied security and stability in the Western Balkans region. He welcomed the recent EU-facilitated freedom of movement between Belgrade and Pristina, and stressed the importance of the NATO-led KFOR mission for Kosovo and the wider region. “NATO and NATO Allies are determined to continue our support for peace and stability in the Western Balkans,” he stressed.

The 2BS (To Be Secure) Forum is an annual political-security forum, dealing with issues of global, Euro-Atlantic security and security in Southeast Europe. The Forum is organized by the Atlantic Council of Montenegro.
