Міністри оборони 11 союзників по НАТО започаткували три резонансних багатонаціональних проєкта із забезпечення захисного ХБРЯ обладнання, розробки і придбання систем виявлення і ідентифікації ХБРЯ, а також потенціального створення мережі об’єктів ХБРЯ захисту. Листи про наміри щодо цих ініціатив були підписані на полях засідання міністрів оборони країн – членів НАТО 21 жовтня 2021 року.
