Today (14 June 2021), NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg opened the “NATO 2030 at Brussels Forum” event. He said that the NATO Summit will open a new chapter in our transatlantic relationship and demonstrate the importance of Europe and North America standing together.

Speaking to Deborah Haynes, foreign affairs editor of Sky News, the Secretary General said Allied leaders will agree “an ambitious forward-looking NATO 2030 agenda, which is about exactly how to continue to adapt NATO”. “As long as we are changing and adapting, NATO will remain as the most successful alliance in the history”, he added.

Co-hosted by NATO and the German Marshall Fund of the United States, “NATO 2030 at Brussels Forum”, features high-level discussions alongside the NATO Summit. It is the opening day for the GMF’s annual Brussels Forum, which takes place throughout this week (June 14-18).
