Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg previewed this week's virtual meetings of NATO Foreign and Defence Ministers in a press conference on Monday (31 May 2021). Ministers will focus on preparations for the Summit, to be held in Brussels on 14 June 2021. They are also expected to discuss a range of issues, including the way forward for NATO’s engagement in Afghanistan, developments in Ukraine and Belarus, and the NATO 2030 initiative on the future of the Atlantic Alliance.
