In a session entitled "The Future of NATO", hosted by the University's Institute on Russia and the School of Interdisciplinary Global Studies, the Secretary General said that today’s global challenges make a strong transatlantic bond more important than ever. Mr. Stoltenberg also set out his vision for the NATO 2030 initiative to future-proof the Alliance, which will form the heart of the agenda for the NATO Summit later this year. He also took questions from students on topics including Afghanistan, China, and the security implications of climate change.
