NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg sat down with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken for a conversation on Tuesday (23 March 2021) on the theme of “Strengthening the Transatlantic Bond”.

Citing challenges such as terrorism, cyber-attacks and the rise of China, the Secretary General urged Allies to work closely together.  “No ally and no continent can deal with these challenges alone. We need Europe and North America together,” Mr Stoltenberg said. The event was moderated by Carnegie Europe Director Dr. Rosa Balfour and came ahead of the start of a two-day NATO ministerial meeting later in the day.
