Ministry of Interior of Italy requests international assistance in their response to COVID-19

On 26 March, the EADRCC has received a request for international assistance from the Department of firefighters, public rescue and civil defense of the Italian Ministry of the Interior in its response to the global pandemic of the coronavirus COVID-19.
The Department of firefighters, public rescue and civil defense is acting in favour of the civil population to mitigate the virus spread. In order to prevent the spread of the virus among the Italian Fire and Rescue operators, and in the civil population, international partners are asked to provide assistance to the Ministry of Interior of Italy in supplying humanitarian assistance.
