The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg visited Paris on Friday (13 March 2020) to meet the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian.
Mr. Stoltenberg thanked Minister Le Drian for France’s key contributions to the Alliance. In preparation for the upcoming meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers on 2-3 April 2020, they discussed issues relevant to transatlantic security, including the ongoing fight against ISIS, the situation in Syria, as well as relations with Russia. They also spoke about the reflection process to further strengthen NATO’s political dimension launched by NATO leaders at their meeting in London last December.
