The NATO-Industry Forum is the primary venue for strategic dialogue with industry on NATO capability planning and development. Sponsored by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, the Forum is co-organised by the Supreme Allied Commander Transformation, General André Lanata, and the NATO Assistant Secretary General for Defence Investment, Camille Grand.

This year, the Forum provides an additional opportunity to celebrate NATO’s 70th anniversary through a focused discussion on enhanced decision-making ahead of the NATO Leaders’ Meeting in London in December.

On the first day, four breakout sessions will address elements contributing to decision-making: tasking, collection, processing, exploitation and dissemination; leveraging big-data; operational awareness and anticipation; and support to human decision-making.

The plenary sessions on the second day will focus the discussion on emerging trends influencing decision-making and on analysing the changing information landscape, concluding with recommendations on how to improve NATO’s deterrence and defence posture in the current geopolitical security environment.

The NATO-Industry Forum will include contributions from NATO Ambassadors and Military Representatives, senior representatives from host nation the United States, NATO and European institutions, chief executive officers and senior executives representing the defence, security and commercial industries, think-tanks and academia.

The event will take place in Washington, DC on 13-14 November 2019. Additional information is available on http://www.act.nato.int/industryforum
