NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda to NATO Headquarters on Wednesday (4 September 2019) for discussions on NATO’s continuing adaptation to the security situation in Europe.

The Secretary General praised Lithuania’s contributions to NATO missions, commitment to defence spending and expertise on energy security. He also underlined that Lithuania can rely on the Alliance: “NATO safeguards your independence and your security, as it does for every Ally.”
