Mechanism
Advanced Research Workshop
Dates
05 - 08 Sep 2019
Location
Washington, DC, United States

This event seeks to inform the debate around the review of counterterrorism strategies and new policy approaches with the knowledge that all countries are vulnerable to ISIS-related terrorism. Through a multidisciplinary approach, the workshop addresses the need for a broader understanding of how regional and global power dynamics, security and stability of the regions, and future crisis will be affected by a weakened or defeated ISIS. The main output will be an edited collection, composed of key talks from the workshop, and supplemented with additional chapters from leading academics and practitioners.
