NATO-EU Roundtable

On 24 May 2018 the EUMS hosted the NATO-EU roundtable conference which was co-chaired by NATO’s Deputy Director for the Policy and Capabilities Division of the NATO International Military Staff (IMS), Brigadier General Miha Skerbinc and the Director CONCAP EUMS, Brigadier General Heinz Krieb.
This bi-annual event aims to maintain the established network between the two staffs and facilitates the exchange of views on topics related to concept and capability development as well as fostering the linkage between the IMS and the EUMS at the military strategic level.
This year some points of common interest, but also of potential common action were informally identified, primarily relating to military aspects of the EU Defence Package, NDPP and the subsequent Defence Capabilities Cooperation Plan.
