The NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg welcomed the Moldovan Prime Minister Pavel Filip to NATO headquarters on Thursday (30 March 2017) and discussed with him the partnership between the Alliance and the Republic of Moldova. The Secretary General thanked Prime Minister Filip for his country’s contribution to NATO’s KFOR mission in Kosovo. He also welcomed Moldova’s commitment to uphold the values shared by all European democracies. The Secretary General highlighted that NATO and Moldova have jointly agreed a framework for working together and stressed that all cooperation activities with NATO have been requested by the government of Moldova.
