An inter-agency delegation from Montenegro met with Civil Preparedness and Crisis management experts at NATO headquarters on Monday (20 June) to take forward Montenegro’s efforts towards integration into Alliance Civil Emergency Planning.
NATO civil preparedness looks at aspects of national planning which affect continuity of essential services to the population, and civil support to military operations.
The group was welcomed by Assistant Secretary General for Operations, Mr. Patrick Turner, and also met with representatives from Allied nations. The delegation was led by the Director General of the Ministry of Interior of Montenegro, Mr. Mirsad Mulić, and included representatives from Montenegro’s ministries of Interior, Health, Transport, Communications, Agriculture and Economy, as well as the Foreign Office and the Ministry of Defence.
