NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has arrived in Norway to start a three-day visit. Today (3 June 2015), Mr. Stoltenberg is visiting Bodø Airbase in northern Norway, accompanied by Defence Minister Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide. At Bodø, the Secretary General was briefed on Royal Norwegian Air Force capabilities, and observed a practice scramble by F-16 fighter jets.

On Thursday, Mr. Stoltenberg will meet with His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon and deliver a keynote speech at the University of Oslo.

On Friday, Mr. Stoltenberg will meet with Prime Minister Erna Solberg, Finance Minister Siv Jensen, Foreign Minister Børge Brende, Defence Minister Ine Marie Eriksen Søreide, and other senior officials. The Secretary General will also meet with the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Defence at the Norwegian Parliament.
