A discussion forum on embracing innovation, building enhanced cooperation and developing digital services among NATO Libraries took place at NATO Headquarters on 22 and 23 May.

Representatives from NATO, academia and international libraries attended presentations on variety of topics. These included the future of libraries in international organisations or in the international arena, the prospects for development of web tools in the field of military education, knowledge management for libraries, the importance of a “user-centered” approach to implementing new designs on web tools and rationalisation as a whole in the field of information management.

The workshop on the second day offered participants the opportunity to exchange views and experience on the value of the NATO depository libraries network and to examine ways to enhance this facility.

The event was organised by the NATO Multimedia Library.
