On 7 Mai 2014, the NATO Political Affairs and Security Policy Division organised a visit to NATO Headquarters of Diplomats and Lawyers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, who were visiting Brussels as part of NATO’s public diplomacy activities under the Istanbul Cooperation Initiative (ICI).

Topics discussed included NATO’s Strategic Concept and Outreach to the Middle East and the Gulf region, NATO-Russia relations and NATO Operations.

The group met with  Dr. Rolf Schwarz, Political Officer, Middle East and North Africa Countries Section, NATO Political Affairs and Security Policy Division, Dr Petr Lunak, Deputy Head, Engagement Section, NATO Public Diplomacy Division, and Mr Mihai Carp, Deputy Head, Operations Section, NATO Operations Division.
