NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen met with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Monday (20 January 2014) to discuss NATO’s busy security agenda for the year ahead.

The Secretary General and the foreign minister discussed NATO missions and operations as well as the whole range of issues related to preparations for the NATO Summit which will take place in Wales in September.

Mr. Fogh Rasmussen thanked Minister Steinmeier for Germany’s strong commitment to the transatlantic bond, and for its significant contributions to NATO missions and operations, including its leadership role in Afghanistan and Kosovo, and for Germany’s continuing support to enhancing NATO partnerships.
