The implementation of UNSCR 1325 represents an important policy priority for NATO and partner countries. At the NATO Chicago Summit in 2012, a review of the practical implications of UNSCR 1325 for the conduct of NATO-led operations and missions was launched. This followed the endorsement of a NATO action plan to mainstream UNSCR 1325 and related Resolutions into NATO-led operations and missions at the Lisbon Summit in November 2010. In addition, NATO and partner countries continue to develop and further elaborate National Action Plans (NAPs) to support the implementation of UNSCR 1325.
More information on NATO’s activities in the context of the implementation of UNSCR 1325 can be found at: http://www.nato.int/cps/en/natolive/91057.htm
Against this background, the Science for Peace and Security (SPS) Programme is soliciting applications for grants for Advanced Research Workshops, Advanced Training Courses, and Multi-year research projects to be organised by scientists, experts, and policy-makers of NATO Member States and Partner countries to support the implementation of UNSCR 1325 on Women, Peace and Security and related Resolutions.
Application forms for SPS workshops, training courses and multi-year projects can be downloaded from www.nato.int/science and submitted at anytime during the year to sps.applications@hq.nato.int.
