On 22 November, the Political Affairs and Security Policy Division received a delegation of Diplomats from Algeria.

The visit, which took place in the framework of NATO’s Public Diplomacy activities under the Mediterranean Dialogue, was an excellent opportunity to discuss NATO’s transformation and outreach to the Mediterranean and the Middle East region; its operation in Libya; its role in the fight against terrorism; its current agenda; and scientific cooperation between NATO and its partners.

The group met with Mr. Nicola de Santis, Head of the Middle East and North Africa Section in the Political Affairs and Security Policy Division, Ms. Stephanie Siklossy, Political Officer in the Middle East and North Africa Section, Ms. Juliette Bird, Head of the Counter-terrorism Section in the Emerging Security Challenges Division, Dr. Deniz Beten, Senior Advisor on Science for Peace and Security, Mr. Mihai Carp, Deputy Head of the Operations Section in the Operations Division, and Mr. Damien Arnaud, Head of the Media Operations and Special Events in the Public Diplomacy Division.
