In a speech given to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Spring session in Tallinn, Estonia on 28 May 2012, NATO Deputy Secretary General Alexander Vershbow said that the Alliance’s Chicago summit was able to deliver on several key points.
He said the summit focused on the future of Afghanistan, Smart Defence and strengthening partnerships, areas where NATO heads of state and government made decisions in Chicago.
