To participate to the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the declaration of martial law in Poland, the NATO Multimedia Library organized on 13 December, at NATO Headquarters, a book presentation and signing by Marzena Sowa and Sylvain Savoia, authors of the award-winning “Marzi”, a comic strip about life in Poland during the 1980s as seen through the eyes of a young girl.

Marzena Sowa’s memoir of a childhood shaped by politics feels remarkably fresh and recent. With expressive and engaging art by Sylvain Savoia, “Marzi” is a moving and resounding story of an ordinary girl in turbulent, changing times.
