Rome, 19 April - Admiral Di Paola, Chairman of the Military Committee (CMC) of NATO, held a conference at the Centro Alti Studi per la Difesa (CASD) in Rome.

The CASD is an organization committed to the study of the management of security and defence which is comprised of the Istituto Alti Studi per la Difesa (IASD), the Istituto Superiore di Stato Maggiore Interforze (ISSMI) and the Centro Militare di Studi Strategici (CeMiSS).

During his intervention the CMC illustrated the implementation of the new NATO Strategic Concept put forth at the Lisbon Summit in November 2010. He stated that NATO has “a permanent ability to adapt to strategic changes. NATO has been and still is in a perpetual transformation process to work towards that agile, flexible, adaptable and sustainable defense.
