The Deputy Chairman of NATO's Military Committee, General W. Gaskin, addressed a group of Women Officers from Pakistan visiting NATO Headquarters on Monday, February 14th 2011.

During his intervention, he described the activities and events that NATO has organized in the development of its partnership with Pakistan. He also stressed the need to enhance military cooperation in  support of the common fight against terrorism. Pakistan is a strategic partner of NATO's mission in Afghanistan, and the Pakistani army plays a crucial  role in fighting  insurgents along its border. General Gaskin thanked the officers for  their involvement and dedicated  commitment, and called for  improved transparency between Pakistan and NATO.
