On 25-26 October the NATO Deputy Secretary General, H.E. Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero met a high-level delegation from the parliament of Tunisia.
The visit took place in the context of NATO’s Public Diplomacy activities with Mediterranean Dialogue countries, of which Tunisia is a very active member since its establishment.
During the visit, the distinguished Tunisian parliamentarians met with the Permanent Representative of France on the North Atlantic Council H.E. Ambassador Pascale Andreani and with the Permanent Representative of Bulgaria on the North Atlantic Council, H.E. Ambassador Todor Churov, and with several NATO civilian and military officials, including Dr. Stefanie Babst, Acting Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy, Brig. Gen. P. Adam, Deputy Assistant Director, Cooperation and Regional Security Division, Mr. Nicola de Santis, Head of the Mediterranean Dialogue and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative Countries Section in the Public Diplomacy Division, Mr. Michael Rühle, Head of Energy Security Section, Emerging Security Challenges Division and Dr. Deniz Yüksel-Beten, Head of the Science for Peace and Security Section in the Public Diplomacy Division.
