On 28 June 2010, NATO Secretary General H.E. Mr. Anders Fogh Rasmussen met journalists from the Mediterranean Dialogue and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative countries during their visit to NATO Headquarters, organized by the NATO Public Diplomacy Division.

The visiting journalists also met with Mr. Jean-François Bureau, NATO Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy; H.E. Amb. Artur Kuko and H.E. Amb. Todor Churov, Permanent Representatives of  Albania and Bulgaria on the North Atlantic Council; H.E. Amb. Lawrence Rossin, Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Operations; Mr. Nicola de Santis, Head of the Mediterranean Dialogue and Istanbul Cooperation Initiative Countries Section in the Public Diplomacy Division; Mr. Michael Rühle, Deputy Head of Policy Planning in the Private Office of the Secretary General and Mr. Robert Pszczel, Senior Press Officer in the Public Diplomacy Division.

The topics covered during the briefing programme included NATO’s new Strategic Concept and the Mediterranean and the Middle East; NATO’s current political agenda; NATO’s operations; NATO’s relations with Russia; as well as its enlargement process.
