On 30 March 2010, NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division organized, in the context of the public diplomacy activities for the Mediterranean Dialogue, a visit to NATO Headquarters of senior academics from Jordan’s major universities.

The distinguished participants in the visit met, among others, with NATO’s Assistant Secretary General for Public Diplomacy Mr. Jean-François Bureau, and with H.E. Ambassador Carlos Miranda, Permanent Representative of Spainon the North Atlantic Council, who acts as NATO’s contact point ambassador for Jordan.

Briefings and discussions with NATO officials covered: the Alliance’s transformation and the new Strategic Concept, political dialogue and practical cooperation under the Mediterranean Dialogue, NATO’s operations and NATO-Russia relations.
