NATO Secretary General meets the Georgian Speaker of Parliament

On 27 January, the NATO Secretary General, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, met with the Speaker of the Georgian Parliament, David Bakradze. In the meeting, the Secretary General said that NATO’s commitment to Georgia’s membership as decided by NATO Allies at the Bucharest Summit in 2008 remains firm.
The Speaker of Parliament reiterated Georgia's commitment to contribute to Euro-Atlantic security. The Secretary General said that NATO will continue supporting Georgia in its reform efforts and he thanked Georgia for its contribution to the NATO-led ISAF operation in Afghanistan.
