Security Jam: discuss your security ideas with the experts

From 4 to 9 February, you will have a chance to brainstorm with leading experts and decision-makers on how to make the world a safer place, whether your ideas are on environmental security, human rights, crises preparedness or other areas.
With 10 online sessions, the Security Jam session will help you put your ideas into action, giving you online access to officials such as Ambassador Kai Eide, UN Special Representative to Afghanistan; Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, Former NATO Secretary General; Admiral James Stavridis, Supreme Allied Commander Europe; and Jacqueline McGlade, Director of the European Environment Agency.
The Security Jam session will aim to analyse and clarify the changing threats to international peace, with the aim of providing input into the strategy reviews being undertaken by major security players today.
The Jam Session is open to defence and security specialists and non-specialists to widen the security debate beyond purely military matters and promote the growing importance of NGOs in security thinking and practice.
The event is co-sponsored by NATO’s Public Diplomacy Division and managed by the Security and Defence Agenda, a Brussels-based security and defence think-tank, in collaboration with a host of international partners. The Security Jam session is organized with the official support of the European Commission and NATO.
