NATO Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero, paid a visit to Armenia on 28 April. He met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, Foreign Minister Nalbandyan, Chairman of the National Assembly Abrahamyan and Defence Minister Ohanyan.

Topics discussed included regional security, the relations between NATO and Armenia, the new Individual Partnership Action Plan which is jointly agreed for a two-year period, and Armenia's progress in defence reforms and democratic institution building.

Ambassador Bisogniero also praised Armenia's participation in NATO's operations, in particular its contribution to KFOR.
