The Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Grigol Vashadze, the Vice Prime Minister, Giorgi Baramidze, and the Minister of Defence, Vasil Sikharulidze visited NATO for the first meeting of the NATO-Georgia Commission (NGC) in 2009.

Prior to this meeting, the Ministers met with the Secretary General, Mr Jaap de Hoop Scheffer.
